What a Race

Yesterday my buddy Jayme and I ran the Arkalalah 2 mile run,and I mean RAN. For the first time ever in a race I ran in the low-sevens. Generally I am in the mid-eights. I credit most of this to Nicole Smalley. We promised we'd run with her, thinking that we would smoke her. This was not the case. She went out like a shot. We followed. After about a mile she faded. I kept up at this pace. I saw some people ahead that I wanted to beat, because of their pompass attitudes when I started running. I laid them to shame, and continued to do well. Jayme followed closely. We have an aggreement that anything goes on race day, and we don't feel obligated to one another to stay together. That said the day is quickly approaching when Jayme will destroy me. He heals a lot faster then I do and seems to do more with less. I finished in 14:16 A persona; best for me.
